This morning in addition to the usual traffic I ran into a stall at my exit from the freeway. An accident was blocking the left two lanes - two cars, a police cruiser, and an ambulance.
Naturally everyone who wanted to turn left at the next light (and had been in the left lane until it was blocked) started shifting into the right lane to pass.
The traffic was stopped, but there was a large gap between the vehicles next to me, so I put my turn signal on and angled the car for the gap, so that when the traffic moved I could pull in.
Well, the woman behind me in that lane was not having any of that - no upstart little blue Prius was getting ahead of her. So she gunned her Lexus SUV (in stopped traffic!) to close the gap and cut me off. And as the traffic started moving, she looked out her window right at me, and gave me a little, "What did you think you were doing?" glare over her cell phone.
I'm hard pressed to decide whether it's the cell phone use affecting her brain or the Lexus SUV affecting her judgement, but either way that was rude.
At least this morning was sunny and largely light on the traffic.
