Icon Tutorial + Gradients

How to achieve this:



First, we'll be starting with this image.


Now, duplicate, add, do whatever to make it more interesting :)


Then, I made a new layer on top of the image, used this gradient, and set the layer mode to screen.




I am going to leave it like this, but you can add more gradient, and play with the opacity until you find a better color :)

To spice it up, I put this image on top of it :)


You might want to duplicate it once :/

Seeing as I never save .psds, I just flattened it, added a few text for decoration, et voila!


Um.. I think it looks better without the text xD;;
