The Birth Story

Jan 19, 2007 18:48

The short version:
Natural unmedicated water birth. Labor started at 6:30am and I went to the hospital at 8am. After about a half hour of pushing, he was born at 12:59pm. I was released from the hospital just before 8pm. The whole experience was AWESOME!

the long version (and I do mean LONG) )

Whenever someone asks how the delivery was and I tell them it was FANTASTIC I tend to get a strange look though. Birth IS amazing!

"hat's the first birth story I have read that didn't make me terrified of having a baby."

Amen!

I think part of it too is that you didn't sound like you were *scared* of having a baby. You seemed to have openly embraced it, which seemed to have helped your entire outlook on the situation. Congrats again!

I didn't feel it at the time at all. The stitches were the worse part of the tear. I actually felt silly saying ouch at getting stitches after delivery a baby, but whatever. Hehe. I'm a wuss for pain!

Terrific story!
don't think I've ever thrown up so hard in my life. I felt awful after

I completely empathize with that experience. When I was in labor I threw up an intensity that I never thought possible.

How is Motherhood and how is the nursing?

Motherhood is pretty good so far. Nursing is going great, except that's all he ever wants to do. He doesn't even sleep for very long stretches, he just wants the boob ALL the time.

Moo.
