Yesterday was awesome to the max. Dimitri, Ashkaan, and I went to SF for the day. We stopped by Dimitri's house is San Fran so he could drop off some things. I said hi to his brother again who is a rad guy and then his mom offered us a meal. Ashkaan and I tried to refuse, but somehow European mothers have that way of persuading you to eat no matter what. The food was terrific. Dimitri's mom is a great cook. After, we went to Amoeba Music on Haight and explored the massive collection there for a bit. I decided to pick up Aqua Teen Hunger Force Vol. 3 and the Get Up Kids' "Something to Write Home About". After about two hours there, while Ashkaan and I were waiting in line, Ashkaan spotted something: the entire Star Wars Trilogy original versions in Widescreen THX for 20 bucks. Needless to say, I saved getting Aqua Teen and the Get Up Kids for later, finding Star Wars unmessed with in Widescreen was something that I had to snatch up. I'm watching them right now, actually, and the video quality is amazingly good. I'm hoping to burn them onto to DVD before the video goes bad. Ashkaan got a Steven Lynch CD which we listened to on the way to dinner at Caspares and on the way to the movie afterwards. Caspares was great. Much thanks to Dimitri for picking it out. Pizza and tiramisu! :D Then we saw Life Aquatic at the Van Ness theater. It was my third time seeing it and it gets better with every viewing. Wes Anderson is definitely one of my favorite newer directors.
After, we dropped Dimitri off at his parents' place and headed back to Davis.
