melatonin, whut's that

In exactly 5 hours I will be on an express train to my departure city, and in exactly 24 hours I should be fairly close to touching down in ye olde Middweste.

Around 5:30 today I woke up from about an hour-long nap and decided "Well hey, why don't I just sleep 'til midnight and start the sleep-adjustment a little early? Brilliant!" Except not. I couldn't sleep past 9:30, it turns out. I'm trying to decide now whether to go back to bed or just stick it out until I'm on the plane; bed is sounding pretty good, since I never sleep on planes, altho if I do get seated in business class and there's no one next to me? Might could curl up once the seatbelt light turns off |^a

Then again the universe would probably shift and get me placed in coach if my chances of rest hang on business. Sleep now sounds like the safer bet by far.

Maybe I'll get to continue the dream I had this afternoon where England had taken over both Germany and Sweden and conscripted them in its never-ending vendetta against France. Its secret weapons, of course, being faeries / fey spirits kept locked in the queen's castle dungeon. One of them had a name which, translated into English, was something close to "Can-You-Believe-What-She-Said!??" and spoke solely in the languages of animals; she was only four inches high, but she would eff your shit up if you made her mad, and she was pretty irritable already given that the Queen of England had imprisoned her. But I was her secret friend, a relation of the Queen's about 6 or 7 years old, and I could sneak into the dungeon unnoticed somehow. I had to be careful, though - another one of the nymphs would turn you to stone if you looked in her face. Or was it drive you mad? Either way I spent way too much time on tvtropes.org today, AND I BLAME YOU,
aquaenumen!!
