One of the things that dismays me almost as much as the commodification of learning, health care, and water, is the increasing trend I've seen in businesses which just 6 months ago would have had free wireless getting into bed with upstart signal-sharks who charge exorbitant rates for it.
I suppose one can't really argue with cafes and bars since the people who have the luxury of patronizing them in the first place probably have no pressing NEED for electronic information access and communication... But it's the principle of the thing, that web of connections and knowledge that was supposed to be a resource for everyone, not just those with heaps of disposable income. Especially everyone in airports (FUCK YOU, airports 8| and your Boingo Wireless, too).
Anyway. Back to reading articles while too many builders block access to my kitchen and bathrooms >.<;
