My digital camera has just taken its 3200th photo, over the course of about five years of ownership. That's positively ancient by digital standards, but I dunno, I think it does a pretty spiffy job for a model that was new in 2003:

I was a good 15 - 20 inches away, and before I scaled it down by 50% I could see mizz bumblybee in great detail down to her complex ultraviolet-detecting eye and fuzzy little legs :3 I've another shot of her perched on some flower buds higher up, veins in her wings clear as day.

The little digicam's very first images are from way back when I had my beast of a Hewlett-Packard laptop, whose brain is now in an aluminum casing in my witch tower upstairs. I had copied quite a few folders over to my MacBook after the old girl's motherboard gave out, so out of curiosity I looked up the earliest pictures I could find.

I couldn't make it down to the single digits, but I did pull up image number 10: my dad, in full doctoral graduation duds, posing in front of the auditorium where just a couple hours later he'd receive his PhD, wearing sunglasses c:

timey wimey stuff, pikchurs, family, cool things
