today in frugality, RE: surveys

May 20, 2011 14:11

A few months ago I signed up with a couple of online survey sites. One of them offers from a handful of change up to a few pounds for every survey you qualify for and complete, and the other offers points that you can redeem for gift vouchers to restaurants, stores, &tc. So far the vouchers one has proven the fastest and easiest pay-off, as I just received my first £10 voucher in the mail this morning \o/

They're good almost anywhere I'd want to shop / eat at in London, and even though I'm broke I could actually treat my boycreature to a nice lunch or dinner out... if I weren't working all weekend <.<;; But still, FREE MONIES, you guys, there IS a tiny smidgeon out there. And if you're like me and prone to mindlessly web-surfing every now and again (read: probably entirely too often), you may as well get paid for it.

There's also something called HTMail, which I've been trial-running for about a month now, that's kinda the same deal - you click on ads or take surveys, they credit you a few pennies, and if the total's over a certain amount of money that you can specify by the end of the month, you get a little deposit into PayPal. If not, it carries over to next month. So far it's been pretty slow going, but I am thinking that giving some referrals would probably help double or triple the change, 'cause they also credit you for surveys taken / ads viewed by people you got to sign up.

Anyhoo, time now for good free fun with friends, boozahol, and terrible terrible Norwegian movies.

money it's a gas, cool things, hey internet
