Dear Doctor Who Season 5, Ep. 3 casting director: WHY!! Why did you make Baron Vladimir Harkonnen Winston effing Churchill?!?? Ian McNiece is bloody brilliant but this is SCREWING WITH MY HEAD.
Also: Ah, noooooow I know who this Doctor is. I had an inkling in the last episode, in that flood of emotion that was over too quickly and yet had a flavor of something like resignation's nobler cousin. This is a Doctor who is owning his role, rather than growing into it in starts and jumps and kicking-screaming-drags, or resisting it. At least, this is how I see Matt Smith playing it. Goddamn but he is a charmer.
Also also: Oh for ffffff-....Daleks, can you not stay away for a quarter of a season? It is seriously getting OLD. Wow, the new and improved line was apparently designed by Apple. Still programmed by Microsoft, though.
