Back from Brazil
Back home from the trip to Rio de Janeiro and the falls at Iguassu. The trip was great sightseeing, delicious food (especially the fruits!), and fraught with family drama issues. I survived the latter, and I thoroughly enjoyed the former.
I have found that I enjoy a vacation more if I stay put in an apartment in one place and explore the city from there. The daily walks, the trips to the grocery store, the daily interactions with familiar faces adds so much more to my enjoyment of a city, than simply checking out the top highlights.
Wee's away at her annual grandparents' summer holiday and Hubby is away at his annual backpacking trip, so I have the house to myself. It sure is nice to have the peace and quiet.
