Wow! What a day i have had! I woke up earlier than i ever have, at like 7:00 AM and went for an hour walk with Ruth to look for ducks for her to photograph for her project on ducks in the city. We found loads! We even found a small, seemingly abandoned and forgotten pond with overgrown weeds etc, hidden in the middle of this overgrown area of a park with like twenty dragonflies and loads of ducks. We got back to Ruth's flat at about 8:30 and had the most ridiculous breakfast ever. Ruth had run out of anything coherent, so we had noodles, toast, soup and lettuce for breakfast, which was odd, but nice. Ruth then had to go to uni, and i stayed home and started writing my opera about cows. It's actually coming along quite well, much better than i expected. When ruth came back for lunch, she was in a terrible state, though. She had gotten lost on her way to uni and fallen over in a small patch of shrubs. Her knee was bleeding and we had no bandages. I managed to make a bandage out of socks and patched her up real good with some makeshift anti-septic mixture my mother taught me how to make out of honey, water, salt, boiling water and cream. Worked too. I cooked her a mini-roast chicken for lunch and we went for a short walk, but didn't get too far. She had to go off to uni again, so i spent the rest of the day before she got back wandering around the lanes. I had a great time, and i spent over £200 on cds and clothes. It was great. When ruth got back, she cooked us a full roast and there was so much left over, we went for a walk and gave it all away to homeless people. Exhausting! Anyway, back at the flat now, just ready to get an early night's sleep for tomorrow's adventures.
Enjoy!
