Global Warming is not a scientific issue, it is a political issue.

Most modern Americans do not want to (nor should they want to) educate themselves or pay to have them selves educated on the sciences related to global warming. Our "specialist" system (the idea that most of our citizens are informed by specialists who are more expert in their filed and can be trusted) bases the "global warming" argument on belief. Belief is easily manipulated using words to help convince us we are safe and we need do nothing which is the intended goal of a "specialist" society/system.

Getting everything to be alright is what the system tries to achieve and which allows scientists to do what they do and get paid doing it, (for the most part). People would start taking action if politicians weren't trying so hard to cover their investments (i.e. oil).

How do you convince a common citizen that action needs to be taken in order to resolve the global warming issue? Continue to speak out using reason and numbers. Power in numbers is the only resolution I see.
