So Gary and I rounded out the end of our Indian Creek trip with a good day and a half at the Blue Gramma, the namesake route that Gary led clean on his second try. I myself got through it on toprope (fingers layback) and then led up Petrelli Motors myself. The two, short, unnamed 5.10s that were done were big hand cracks for Gary, which meant deep fist jams for me, but I got both of them clean.... somehow.
We came back to Vegas thursday night, ate at a buffet, watched playoff basketball, and fell into a catatonic stupor. The next day yielded 90 degrees, and so a trip to the Pier was hatched. Note to self: two weeks of crack climbing is not conducive to crimp strength. I got to the top of Geometric Progression, and got through the bouldery cruxes of the two quail routes, but was so hosed none of them got redpoint attempts.
today it was to a new crag: Universal City. Five lovely climbs awaited. But, it was another 90 degree day, so I settled for a flash of Prime Ticket and happily belayed while nursing my tender tips. Tomorrow is the Wake Up Wall and Sonic Youth Wall, and then I'll very likely leave for Yosemite. Just gotta relax the rest of today =).
