Cat in the Hat 5.6+, 5 pitches (trad)
I'm going to pick my father up at the airport in about two hours, and then I will be leaving Las Vegas and heading for Josh.
Today was a good, though wet, day. It started beautifully enough, and Michelle, Marlie, Michelle's friend Pete and I headed off toward the classic multi-pitch Cat in the Hat. It was sunny, 72, and a gentle breeze was blowing. On the fourth pitch, however, the weather turned, the cold front came through, it dropped 30 degrees in under an hour, and it started sleating/hailing on us. Needless to say, the rappel off was cold and wet and unhappy.
That's all to really report for now. An update will come after Dad leaves.
