I'm incredibly stressed out and not feeling very good. Probably the rhythm of not really eating or sleeping is finally doing a number on me. Yesterday was spent mostly compiling sources, and I feel stupid thinking how I could've been doing it for a year.
I'm also very angry and more than a little depressed.
On December 10th, 1957, two bodies were found in Amagiyama, Izu, Shizuoka prefecture. The man and woman had both died of pistol shots to the head. In the mass media the case came to be called "The Amagiyama love suicide". The woman was the 19-year-old Manchu princess Aishin-Gioro Huisheng, who had been studying in Gakushuin; the man Ookubo Takemichi, 20 at the time and of the same year. In his pocket the police found two photos of her. She had an engagement ring on her finger. Her family never stopped believing she was murdered, but it was reported that they had opposed their plans of marriage. Three years later their letters were published with the title Ware onmi wo aisu (approximately 'we love each other'). The book became an instant best seller.

A contemporary newspaper reporting the incident. The large headline reads "What killed them?", the smaller one "No one to turn to for advice".
No commentary.
