Given time, even the dead-looking cherry tree in the shade of the mountain will bloom

As I was feeling sorry for myself, it occurred to me that on New Years night, I didn't buy just one omikuji, but two. The other one was a manekineko omikuji, a hollow little porcelain cat with an omikuji inside it. I never opened it, I guess originally intending to give it away or something, but then thinking against it on the off chance that it'd be bad. I thought, maybe that omikuji is just so wretchedly bad that it's canceling out the other great fortune omikuji I got. Like, maybe there's an explanation for all this.
So I found the cat and opened it, and when I rolled out the omikuji, it was a great fortune.

The gist of this fortune is that, in time, things will turn out better.

piss moan, the future
