Hair

Today I got a haircut. I'd had really long hair for the last 15 years or longer, so it was definitely high time. Long hair has it's merits, like the therapeutic effect of combing it or running ones fingers through it. But it does suck quite a lot to have to untangle it after a week or so of not brushing it (regularly each time I have a week or so off), because it quite literally turns into felt.

Goodbye, good riddance. Ironically, as we were waiting for out appointment at the thrift shop downstairs, a lady cooed and enthusiastically commented on it.

Now it looks like this.

Oh yeah, I'm one of those characters in manga who only need to take their nerdy classes off and they turn incredibly handsome... This is the picture I took with me to show what I wanted, and I got it exactly. Well, except for the sideburns... This past year or so that I've mulled over the possibility of chucking the hair, I've been somewhat worried that it might make me even more feminine looking, seeing as I'm not very masculine. In reality, that is, because in my delusions I'm built like a brick shithouse. I've also been anxious about going to have my hair cut and getting a short girls haircut if I just ask to get it shortened. Anyway, like me, Jesse Spencer has a high forehead, big jaw, nose that's slightly small for his face and feminine lips. So of course his hair suits me. And the hairdresser was really perceptive as she didn't try and push for modifications to make it softer of girlier. It's actually even slightly shorter than Jesse Spencers.

And yes, other than that, today I've done nothing!
