Movie Reviews: Superbad, Hard Candy, Choke & Wall-E
Superbad
Ahaha kind of hilarious. Michael Cera, man. I dunno why but I love that kid's acting even though he's like the same person in ever film he's ever in. But no really, makes me think of my high school days. There's tons of swearing and sex related shit. It's def. got the R rating for a reason. There was one kid in the movie called Fogell or something and the two main characters would call him faggle and I lol'd a lot over it. It was a pretty good story, we didn't connect with the characters as much as I had hoped but! Over all good. (HOPEFULLY AS TIME GOES ON I'LL GET MORE.. CREATIVE WITH MY REVIEWS.)
Hard Candy
Another Juno actor! no really, Ellen Page starred in this and it was honestly a really tense movie. It's about this 14 year old girl who meets up with a 32 year old photographer and he invites her back to his house.. but she ends up drugging him and tying him up and sort of torturing him for being a pedophile. While the movie had a lot of good color to it (like the colors were always really nice looking) there were FAR FAR FAR too many close up shots. like, I think that's what made this movie so uncomfortable, it's like when someone stands too close to you when you're talking. Srsly Alix and I were like "okay plz zoom out a little god" But yeah overall? Tense.
Choke
EHHH I'm so-so on this movie. It was kinda funny sometimes but I couldn't get into it so much. About sex addicts. NOT SURE WHAT ELSE TO THINK ABOUT IT.
Wall-E
I've seen this one before tonight, but I'll be honest and say I didn't watch it all the way through tonight. I liked it, but the beginning is like.. really slow. I like most of the parts with the humans, and there were some technical things that are like "huh..." (Such as Wall-E flying like really really close to the sun? I'm pretty sure his metal structure would just melt being that close) But yeah, it makes a bold statement on how earth could turn out if society isn't careful and all.
FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON THIS CRAP. I wanted to watch another movie but I guess I'm more tired than I thought. It's good though, I skip nights of sleep more and more often lately.. gotta stop doing that and just sleep LESS. Like, if I'd only get 5 hours of sleep I'm usually like "oh well I'll just stay up then" .... lol.
