(no subject)
Really fucking pumped for several reasons tonight, really bummed for a few others!
Today my favorite band, They Might Be Giants, released their new album "Nanobots". I have not listened to it yet, but I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy the physical disc or just the download. opting for the disc. (I need to get a copy of their last album as well...)
I also learned that another band I love is actually TOURING this year after being done for 10 years: The Postal Service. I'm in the process of preordering their 10th anniversary deluxe album!! bonus songs and stuff omg!!
(Edit: I also forgot to mention that Jade and I pitched in and won a Elgyem Jakks Prototype Plush today!!! I AM SO THRILLED, his name is Barth!!! Jade and I both collect the aliens, so when we move in together we will be combining our collections and he will be our centerpiece. AHHHH!!!! so exciting!!!)
I listened to a lot of songs I liked today on the way home. On the radio, surprisingly! But it was really, really nice to be able to just sing-shout lyrics at the top of my lungs for once. I haven't done that in a long time and I miss it. Some songs are just perfect for scream-singing to LOL.
Work has been pretty annoying and stressful lately, so when I get home from work I feel really burned out. I don't want to work on projects or even doodle, and it kind of breaks my heart because I want SO BADLY to just churn artwork out like crazy!!! But working full time in less than ideal conditions is setting me back. I hate not getting things done, especially when I'm in such a great mood to be doing them. damn it work for sucking any motivation I had left in me. I only have about 4 to 5 hours a night to unwind and check up on the internet, which took a long time in particular tonight. Such a mess.
I still haven't even checked ALL my daily sites yet and usually this only takes me like 30 minutes... yeah it's almost midnight. I have to be in bed by 1am, ideally. How does this happen... ugh!
