I saw the link to that auction on DA and I'm kind of worried for BLS. I'm getting non-paying bidders on $10-$20 items, and that's a huge pain as it is. If the highest bidder backs out of that auction... *shudders*

Under normal circumstances I'd say that it was a private sale with someone who offered a higher price, but with the plush in the $2k range, I don't know why you wouldn't keep the auction going.

Hmmm, I suppose we'll find out sooner or later if she talks about it... That's my thinking though, with the plush going for as much as it was, why stop now?

Hasbro can do that? I guess it is their character, but it's also fanart so... D:? urp.

Are you on her f-list? I used to check her journal from time to time because I liked seeing the projects she was working on, but now it's all locked. :(

I think they technically can, but I've never seen them do it. Most of the time, companies seem to view custom plush as good publicity. I also think it would take them longer than a day to find it, let alone contact the artist.

Yeah, I am! I hardly talk to her but I've been on there for a while; I comment occasionally but I'm sure she'd recognize you from pkmncollectors and add you or something.

One possibility that came to mind was maybe the creator of the show made a private offer? That would be pretty cool. D: Now I'm so curious as to why she ended it early!

Does she even check the comm? I was always worried that she thought I was a stalker or something. The first time I came across her journal was shortly after she made the shiny Eevees. I think she had closed commissions at the time, but I commented on one of her posts saying how much I adored her plush and asking if she was ever planning to open auctions/commissions. I got ignored, so she probably did think I was a creeper. ;___;

(And I'd probably scare her away if I friended her right now because my most recent post is super whiny.)

Who, Laura Faust? That would be pretty awesome.

I hope she makes the others eventually. I would love to see Twilight in her style!

Ahahhah I'm actually not sure if she checks the comm or not, I have to imagine all her business just comes to her now. She's had commissions closed for a while I think, ahhh It'd be so awesome to own something by her one day ;; I have no idea what I'd even want though, hahah. She does get a LOT of people asking for commissions, probably on a daily basis at least... I'd guess it was nothing personal. ;0;

I think she plans on making the other ones, she seems to really love doing the ponies between commission work. I don't follow MLP (actually I'm getting a little tired of seeing them everywhere) but out of the ponies I think I like Applejack the best? Did she have a dress like the others? (My 3 year old niece was actually watching this episode one day and I saw Flutterfly in her gown and I was like "HEY IT'S LIKE BLS PLUSH" hahah)

I would love to own a plush made by BLS. I wouldn't mind fighting for it in an auction situation either though I would probably loseHer DA says she has commissions closed forever. ;__; A few years ago she talked about potentially doing auction slots for commissions. Any idea if that is happening? Or is she just auctioning pre-made plush and making plush for friends? (Gin is the only one I know who has gotten one of her plush in the last year

I think maybe her dA says NO commissions mostly because there are lots of people on dA who are not serious about paying for art at reasonable prices? I could be entirely wrong, but I do know that she has a "commission info" page on her LJ that says "commissions closed for now" so it's possible someday she might open them again? Her commission list is pretty long though so i think she's set for a while! Again, this is just speculation though

Yeah, most people on DA don't seem to understand custom prices. I didn't fully understand it either until I read BLS's journal post about everything that goes into making a plush.

I have a pony tag that doesn't get much use, but that will probably change soon because guess what I asked for for Christmas. Between the cute merch and the cute TV show, I'm getting sucked deeper and deeper into the ponies... though I generally stay away from the fandom. Also, styling their hair is really fun! I feel like I'm making up for all the "girly" things I refused to do when I was a kid.

I believe there's a Coconut Cream in one of the blind bags? She's not a pony on the show or anything, just a recolor.

the ponies themselves don't bother me and I don't mind my friends talking about them! they just literally are everywhere hahah That's kind of how I feel about Homestruck. I know it has something to do with the zodiac, and that they're supposed to be trolls... but other than that, I don't get it. I visited the website once and was super confused

Ahhh. Homestuck. That's even more common than ponies, at least on tumblr... I even have homestuck listed on tumblr savior and I still see homestuck over and over again on my dash. I don't see ponies on tumblr quite as often.

Oh wow, I... yeah I'm not fond of how much they try to push the stereotype with Applejack, but her accent... I dunno? It's kinda in the middle for me. I don't love it but I don't hate it either... I like the really soft-spoken southern accents I guess?

BLS is really super nice!! Totally understanding and friendly, just like Gin. She's totally not the type to send people white-knighting for her! :) I'm glad she friended you back though, awesome news!

I don't think I'd call hers soft spoken, but it annoys me less the more I hear it.

I took a look at her commission page, and it looks like when she IS open, her plush are $150-$200. Which is way cheaper than what I expected. *stalkstalkstalk*

Tumblr savior hides any post if it has any of the words you give it. Basically, a blacklist. If you list "#homestuck" it'll block posts tagged with homestuck, or if you just give it "homestuck" it'll block any post with even the word homestuck, including tags. :O

Oh nono, Applejack isn't soft spoken. I just meant I like the soft spoken accents? I'm really not even sure what accent I mean...

I know right! It might be possible her page could be outdated, but she could really get a lot more for her work than that.
