Characters: Zero, Axl. What: Sensory overload. Where: The dorms, then who knows where? When: April 1st, late morning/early afternoon? Warnings: Nothing, really.
Axl lay sprawled out on his bed with a frown on his face. The constant growling from the stomach was getting preeeetty annoying and if it weren't for the fact that he was feeling out of energy, he would have been complaining about the noise forever.
He sat up when he heard the knock at the door; that must be Zero! He hurried to get the door only to greet the other with a heavy tired sigh due to an empty stomach from ever since he woke up.
"...This stomach growling is getting on my nerves." Axl said as another loud growl was heard.
"Mine too," he replied to the non-greeting. It was definitely weird talking to Axl in a young human girl's body. "Let's go before we starve or anything," he immediately took the initiative, boldly heading...
Ok, so he didn't know where. Maybe if he followed his sense of smell. He wasn't quite used to it, but there were definitely pleasant and unpleasant smells, and the human body did have a certain set of instincts for survival. "Do you smell anything?"
Without warning, a large school of fish barreled through the hallway intersection the pair had come to, moving perpendicularly to their path. In their wake was a slightly damp floor and a mildly unpleasant odor.
Oh, right. Humans are able to take in odors through the nose or something. Now that he thought about it, there were a lot of different scents that he picked up ever since he woke up.
Just then, the fishes passed by in front, causing Axl to jump in surprise. This human body wasn't really fit for being alert...
"Ew, I hate this smell!!" He yelped, pinching his nose with a hand without thinking to prevent himself smelling more.
