The Circus is Town!

Oct 08, 2010 18:56

Characters: Open to all!
What: Circus!!
Where: The fields
When: They’re open all month, so whenever you want to visit!
Warnings: Fun and games for all- what's the worst that could happen?

The circus folk finished their preparations just as silently as they arrived. Everyone wakes up to find that posters advertising the circus are plastered all over the city, and the gates are wide open, smiling ticket-takers awaiting the guests. The circus is bright and colorful, with lots of lights and cheery music floating through the air. Of course, there are lots of things to do:

Rides: Lots of old-fashioned, traditional carnival rides, such as slides, a tunnel of love, a carousel, and a ferris wheel.
Attractions: Animals! Funhouses! Magic shows! Not to mention the main attraction in the Big Top, complete with acrobats, clowns, and other amazing performers. On the far end of the field is a haunted house, but it doesn’t seem operational…
Booths: Games, food, and prizes! Impress your friends! Win a teddy bear for the lovely lady! Step right up!

Despite the cheery atmosphere, though, you can’t help but feel that there’s something… off about the circus workers. They’re just as smiling and friendly as ever, but they still won’t talk to you beyond pointing you towards the nearest ride or funnel cake stand, and their smiles seem a bit too wide. There’s also the Big Top itself, which is a dull, dark purple- quite a contrast from the other brightly colored attractions. And that haunted house…
