June 15th, afternoonish moonlitmonk June 16 2010, 15:31:40 UTC
Kevin was pretty sure he didn't actually cause any damage, but he still wanted to do something to help clean up. He had never tried that before- fixing something instead of breaking it, that is. He wandered down to where the biggest battle took place, in the Industrial District, and observed some of the shopkeepers and citizens repairing and rebuilding. He wasn't really sure where to start, or if he should just walk up and ask if they needed help. He really needed to work on this talking to people thing.

In the meantime, someone was more than happy to talk to him! Superman noticed Kevin approaching and was pleased to see even more castle residents down this way, presumably to help.

And at least it was the NICE Werewolf and not the other one who had tried to beat him up.

He was walking a Wheelbarrow filled with roofing shingles toward a factory that had had a good portion of it's roof smashed up by Heartless. He stopped and nodded at Kevin. "Hello. You here to help with the clean up?"

Kevin, having zoned out for a second, blinked and turned to the odd-looking man. What a strange costume he had.

"I do!" He nodded enthusiastically. "But I not know how."

And just then, he realized what was emblazoned on the strange human's chest. "...S."

"You look like a good, strong guy." Superman said. "And building things is pretty easy with a little know-how and the right tools. I've helped rebuild places before now so I've got some experience if you want to follow along and see how it's done. Oh, and the S stands for Superman. Pleased to meet you."

He extended a hand to Kevin.

"Oh! I very strong!" Kevin nodded even more excitedly. This was exactly the help he needed! "I will learn if you show! My name Kevin! You... Superman? That name is weird."

Superman just smiled. "So I've been told - It's a name given to me by a dear friend of mine. You can call me Kal-El, if you'd prefer."

He started walking down the cobbled street once more with the barrow of shingles. "It's great to meet you, Kevin."

"Kal-El. I call you that instead." Kevin said. Apparently that was a less weird sounding name. He pointed to the shingles. "Where do those go?"

"These are Shingles and they go on the roof." Superman explained, pointing at the factory and its roof with a definite lack of shingling. "It's a slightly trickier job because shingles crack easily if you're not careful, but we should be OK."

He placed a hand on each side of the wheelbarrow and started to hover, lifting the barrow with him. "I can fly you to the roof once the barrow is up, or, you could climb if you're able?"

"Okay. I be careful." Honestly. Kevin was a little worried about that. He wasn't the most... graceful. But then he noticed that Kal-El was flying.

"You... you fly!" He didn't know whether to be afraid or to think that was really, really cool.

"Yes. I can fly. It's one of many different things that I can do." He could hear something akin to apprehension in Kevin's voice and he did his best to smile reassuringly. "I have a lot of skills that I use to help people and save lives. And sometimes, re-shingle roofs."

He was used to people being wary of him once they saw what he could do. The only response he knew was to reassure them with words, and reinforce those words with actions that displayed his intentions.

Kevin looked at Kal-El. Then at the roof. Then at Kal-El again. Then at the roof again.

If he was going to learn how to fix things, he would have to listen to the flying man. Even if the flying man kind of freaked him out a little.

"...Okay. I go with you. Help fix roof."

"Alright." Kal-El replied, flying high enough to place the barrow on the roof. He wedged it firmly over the peak so that it wouldn't move, before going back down to collect Kevin.

"Like I said, I can carry you, or, if you'd prefer you can climb the smaller building next door and get there that way. I know not everyone enjoys being picked up!"

Kevin looked up and tried to gauge the distance between the roof and the ground. He could climb that. Probably.

I climb!" And without a second thought, he grabbed on to a gutter pipe and hauled himself up. He covered a sizable distance, but halfway up he managed to lose his footing suddenly. "Waugh!"

Faster than a speeding bullet, Superman leapt and caught Kevin. He was careful to be gentle, but firm enough so as not to drop him. Hopefully, the other man's pride wasn't going to be too bruised by the save - He'd already been there with Sparkster.

"Are you OK?"

Okay? Yes. Confused? Most definitely.

"Aaah! I'm flying!"

Superman flew Kevin up to the roof, setting him down carefully.

"Well... I couldn't just let you fall." he said, sounding a little sheepish.
