Who: Superman and You
What: Superman is busy around the city helping repair storm and battle damage
Where: Anywhere in the city of gears that takes your fancy
When: Over the next week or so (June 8th through to June 15th)

Shantae had been trying her best to help out with the repairs, but as much power as she had, heavy lifting was still not her best strength. Her elephant form was a bit too cumbersome in this crowded space, and her other transformations were not gifted with great strength. So it was back to good old fashioned labour.

She stopped for a while to rest, looking around and finding herself longing for home. Repairing the town made her think back to repairing Scuttle Town after Risky Boots attacked it, and the thought just made her miss her home and her friends all the more again. She sighed.

Super hearing was a great asset. From hearing a call for help to a crime in progress. The first creakings and groanings that signified an impending dam breakage, to the racing heartbeat of a man about to commit a robbery.

Or, a slightly melancholy sigh.

Of course, he didn't know why she was sighing exactly. But he'd caught glimpses of her doing her best to help out from a short distance off and figured he too had earned a small break. He hovered gently over the rooftops and landed not far off from her, still carrying an arm-load of supplies.

"Good afternoon Miss - Is everything alright?" he asked, just the slightest hint of concern in his words.

What the hell-- Did that guy in the weird outfit just float next to her? "Um... I'm okay..." She was clearly weirded out by this. "Don't take this the wrong way, but... What the heck are you wearing?"

While some people might have taken offense at the question and her tone, Superman just chuckled quietly. "It's modelled after the fashions on my home planet, Miss, but if you must know? My Mother made it for me."

Shantae was quiet for a moment. But then she chuckled. "Not many men would admit that," she remarked. "So who are you supposed to be?" she asked.

"Well, there's no shame in appreciating your Mom's hard work." he replied with a smile. "And my name is Superman. Or Kal-El if you prefer. Which... some people around here apprently do."

He set the building supplies down and dusted off his hands, extending one to her. "And what might your name be, Miss?"

"Superman, huh?" she asked. "So that's what the S is for. Not very subtle." She was only teasing.

"Shantae," she said, taking his hand, impressed by his grip.

"No, it's not." he agreed. "Actually, the name was given to me by a friend of mine not long after we met."

He released her hand. "Pleased to meet you, Shantae. You've been helping with the repair effort too, I see."

"As much as I can," she said. "I'm a lot better at beating up bad guys than I am at fixing buildings. But it looks like they're in great hands with a guy as strong as you! That's a lot of building materials to be carrying for one person!"

"I appreciate the compliment." he replied with a smile. "Apprehending bad guys is my usual role as well, however, when bad guys leave a mess behind, I like to be able to lend a hand and clean up. Because apart from community service, most bad guys won't clean up their own leavings and it's unfair to make the innocents do it on their own"

Shantae laughed. "They will if you 'persuade' them," she said. "After my town got wrecked by Risky Boots and her minions, I tracked her down and beat her, and then made her Tinkerbats fix everything."

"Well, your town is in good hands, obviously." Superman replied with a broad smile. "Risky Boots... now there's an interesting name for a villain."

"Horrible, evil woman," Shantae explained. "Pirate queen of the seven seas, and a royal pain in the butt. She tried to take over the world using a steam engine my uncle Mimic built, but I stopped her."

"How sad that so often things created with good intentions fall into the hands of evildoers." Superman replied, nodding. "Luckily you were able to stop her from doing so without too many casualties, I hope?"

"No casualties," she affirmed. "I'm pretty efficient! No trouble shows up that I can't handle!"

"That's great to hear. No wonder you're living in the Castle there. I heard tell that it's filled with great heroes." Superman replied - Obviously unable to admit his own residence there.
