What in a Year? Part 1

Well, let's see. I have a lot of ground to cover. I'll do the best that my memory can provide. Last spring was lacrosse season, that went extremely well. Other than the two losses which have been documented in this journal, we were undefeated.

In the late spring I started working on the moonlight show 1776, with Ian and Jeremy and Chris Boyde. Met Chris Pitts AKA Baby Chris. I was the Courier and had a nice song.

The summer rolled around, and I began to really despair about my not-so-well-hidden feelings for Hayley. After a romantic dream about Linz, I started to be interested in her. That however, did not turn out well. Not even a little.

When I listened to two of my friends talk extremely unflatteringly about me "behind my back", I pretty much had had enough of home. After two show nights (I missed the third), I left for Ireland with Allison and the rest of the Adventure Ireland crew.

Adventure Ireland was probably the best two weeks of my life. While I had gone to Ireland with the hope of maybe getting to know Allison a little better, I had not realized that she had a boyfriend. But in Ireland I met the wonderful Mara Siegel, whome I asked out July 10th. She lives in New Jersey, but I didn't care.

Everyone in Ireland was awesome, the kids and the counselors alike, and it was there that the so-far uneventful T-FIELD SURF started. Surfing rules, by the way.

Beauty pagent, me dressed in drag, talent show... there were many things that I won't forget, no matter how hard I try (Shaniqua *shudder*). All in all though, Adventure Ireland was an amazing experience that changed who I am, forever. Maybe it was the confidence-inspiring independence mixed with the social ease. Whatever it was, I came back a changed person.

Coming tomorrow: part two!
