important pirate update
Three important pirate videos for your enjoyment.
The top one is a French animation short brought to my attention by
drawgirl . Friends familiar with Exalted will no doubt enjoy picking out the castes obviously suggested by the different pirate "types."
Next up is this very strange clip from a children's show, via guillermo. The song is quite catchy. Then we have a techno dance break and it's just fucking strange. Enjoy with a glass of absinthe.
And last, but by no means least, here is the long awaited music video from Portland's own Captain Bogg and Salty (may the skull and bones wave above them forever). Bogg and Salty sing "Dead Men Tell No Tales,"
lagizma , if you're curious. Usually they are a children's band but once a year they put on the Festival de Piratas, where a bunch of full grown men and women dress like pirates and pogo drunkenly in a crowded bar to "pirate core." Which is just another reason you all wish you lived in Portland.
drawgirl has been drinking tequila since three this afternoon. It was apparently a rough week in administrative assistant land. She thinks I write more on the blog about prostitutes than pirates. It's possible she's right, so let's swing that back towards a balance of powers. I shall now log off and pants her at Scrabble.
