Bar Trivia
Now that I can go out in the evening like a normal person, I've been going to a lot of pub quiz nights lately. These give me the chance to be a) competitive in a non-physical, non-sports kind of way; b) smarter than most of the room, but in a way which also reinforces that there's a ton of shit I don't know; and c) drunk.
After I watched the Bears blow their season opener earlier tonight, I went to a trivia night at this hipster Mexican place in Silver Lake. Sitting about 2-3 tables away from us was a group that included Thom Yorke. This was not just our impression of who that guy looked like; that actually was Thom Yorke, confirmed.
Our team finished in second place. By one measly stinking point. Who beat us? THAT MOTHERFUCKER THOM YORKE'S TEAM. And I suffered a subpar "name that iPod tune" round. I want a goddamn rematch.
