I've been unemployed for a bit. Supposedly I'm going back mid-September, but, uh, something happened that I am contractually bound not to comment on. Just pay attention to the goddamn celebrity news like a good American. Anyway, who knows how things will shake out now ( Read more... )

My uncle told me his hay fever stopped bothering him when he moved to SoCal. Maybe ragweed is banned only in Ventura County?

I'm irritated with Facebook for killing LiveJournal. I'd much rather read one multiparagraph update per person per day than multiple single-sentence updates per person per day. I'm not saying I mind Facebook, it's just that if people only have enough time for one or the other, I wish LJ would come out on top.

I agree. About LJ. I don't know enough about Venture County ragweed to offer an opinion.

interestingly, I think that twitter has played a much bigger role in the death of LJ than facebook ever did.

Only when people comment in support of the poster. Supporting other people is for communists and socialists. And the effete.

I thought the same thing was going to happen for me. Unfortunately, there's pollen in the air all year round here, and I guess it happens that a type I'm allergic to has its season in late August.

It's not like I post a ton on LJ, but I would much rather have the room to explain stuff. Even Facebook, I struggle to come up with more than one status update per week, cause life is pretty routine a lot of the time.
