Things I Worry About
Am I going to try to get into prog-rock BEFORE or AFTER I turn 40?
If I'm still single at 40, I don't see how I'll be able to avoid it. "Aw yeah, it's so nerdy! Aw, these kids today can't play their instruments! Oh shit, listen to that medieval counterpoint! I didn't want to get married anyway! Fuck, speaking of disposable income, I gotta get that Gentle Giant live album!" It'll be like celebrating my 30th by splurging on the Steely Dan and Elton John catalogs.
But with all the technique-intensive heavy metal I've been listening to the last couple years, I fear I could break down before that.
