Loyalty....
A colleague just reminded me that tomorrow will be my 10 year anniversary with the same company and at the same time implied that they don't know how I could stay with one company for so long.
Since being sceptical about moving from a nice job to my current company ten years ago, I've been through the following:
Worked as a Helpdesk Technician.
Worked for one fantastic IT Manager who I credit with a lot of what I have achieved.
Worked in the Isle of Man, Dublin, London, Geneva, Lugano and Zurich.
Moved to Switzerland to live.
Gained promotion to Assistant IT Manager.
Received promotion to Handlungsvollmacht (Swiss company officer rank).
Worked for one appalling IT manager.
Gained promotion to IT Manager.
Received promotion to Associate Director (Prokura, Swiss company officer rank).
Received promotion to Director (Vize-Direktor, Swiss company officer rank).
Worked for 5 Managing Directors / CEO's of the subsidiary I work for.
Not a bad 10 years when I look back, time has flown though!
