my gloxinas are about to bloom again.
yes, that's right AGAIN.
last year i bought a couple of pots but after flowering they died off.
i bought another two pots again this year but went to google about how to care for them and learnt that:
a) most people simply threw them out after flowering,
not knowing that
b) if you let them rest they will bloom once again.
and this is the proof. a pot which was all dried up and forgotten in some corner of my courtyard suddenly produced two little green leaves. after some careful watering and putting back into the sunlight the little plant on the left is the result. yup it grew from "nothing". and apart from giving it a dark corner to lie around in, i didn't give it any care or attention at all. i literally just forgot about it!
the pot on the right is actually one from this year. one pot gave up the ghost (and i have now let it rest in a safe place) while this one died down a bit but then decided to grow new shoots all over again.
this has filled me with wonder.
