I've been bitten by the travel bug

Last weekend, I took a short trip with my Icon classmates down to Los Angeles to go to the Getty Villa, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and the Getty Center to look at ancient Roman mosaics, Islamic art, and most spectacularly, Byzantine Icons from Sinai. It was only a two day trip, but it was enough of a reminder for me to know why I like traveling so much - I love seeing new places, trying new restaurants, and having a reason to go out. Since I started grad school four years ago, I gave up travelling. I hadn't realized how small my world had become until this short trip. Now I totally want to travel again, but unfortunately, I just can't due to lack of funds and time.
