We had two dear friends over to the new place last night. I cooked (and it was ok!!), and we chatted the evening away. Merry and I enlisted their help ...
On Monday, I went to my sister's house. My brother-in-law worked from home that day, and my sister-in-law came over too. Together, we made our wedding invitations!(!!!!) They turned out tres awesomes. Our colours are burgundy and creme, so the invitations were printed on a small creme paper, which was pasted onto a slightly larger burgundy sheet. They ended up being about 4x5 inches. My brother-in-law helped with the layout and printing, and my sisters helped with the cutting and pasting. Merry and I were both so excited to see the end result.
So. Last night, we and our friends made an assembly line of sorts, addressing and licking the envelopes for said invitations.
With the blessed event drawing so near, the air nearly crackles with anticipation and excitement!
Merry and I have had our ups and downs - sometimes in spectacular fashion. Through it all, even the roughest of the rough, we have taken each others' hand and walked through it together.
I grow more and more enamoured of her as time goes by. I am amazed at the woman that she is, and am excited to see the woman that she is becoming. Life is ever-changing. We are constantly evolving, and we always seem to come out the other side stronger for it, and more committed than before.
