i think i finally figured out why i have such trouble studying, my brain is too active when fully awake to concentrate on a particular subject for any length of time, and when pulling an all-nighter (like tonight) is too asleep to understand complex topics (damn you mathematics!) I seem to have very narrow windows of proper, effective focus. For the greater bulk of time my oh-so gifted brain is either running too fast to be effectively controlled or too slow to perform adequately. It fucking sucks balls.
