Much ado about nothing

OK, I know I shouldn't be even talking about it, but yesterday I was picking mail and since my wife subscribes to one of those tabloids, such as "People", "Us" and "OK", I skimmed over one as I was walking back to my house. By now everybody probably heard about Britney this and Britney that, and I think it's totally normal for a 25 year old to ( Read more... )

Thank Gawd the Britney fascination will pass in time. Not soon enough for me unfortunately. Inevitably the media will latch on to someone else's life and rip it to shreds in a search for scandalously juicy gossip news. And I use the term 'news' very loosely.

The thing that has me scratching my head is CNN, Fox News, MSNBC et al are actually reporting on this shit. With everything that's happening in the world I cannot for the life of me believe that Britney coochie shots are anything other then tabloid worthy.

As for bad guys in movies and stuff, I don't think they are portrayed accurately when it comes to having women in their life. One would think that if they like to conquer, women too would be on their list somewhere. Also there are women who like the 'bad boy' image and, given the chance, would loose their panties faster then Britney Spears for them.

As far as looks go, no matter what they look like, beauty is in the eye of the beholder…I don't think an ugly mug would automatically exempt a guy from getting some. After all, it's not the face you fuck, it's the fuck you face, no??

I'm not saying that every bad guy who wanted a woman had the opportunity, but even Hitler was married (and had a mistress too I think).

I think if you look at America as one big entity, such as a human, then events like Britney's mishap would be like a pimple of some sort. Since we're considering America a human and undoubtedly a vain one, a simple pimple would draw some attention, which will, of course, subside after a pimple is gone, treated or somehow dealt with.

Bad guys in movies and in RL are two different things. Nobody in reality is pure evil or pure good. Hitler wasn't pure evil, he actually had love in his life, he cared for I think his niece very much. Being a Jew I should be the one hating his guts because of Holocaust, but it wasn't only him, there were others.
But movie characters are so undeveloped, and flat, so it just looks like they are pure evil, which is I think is bad. Anything pure is probably bad, unless we're talking sterile clean in OR. Even pure cocain is bad - it'll hurt you more than give you high. ;)
