I broke the 50,000 word barrier today with my novel. I'm happy. However, I've hit the end of another stretch of 'planned' chapters, so the next stretch will be working out what happens over the next few chapters.... Which is gonna be interesting since currently it consists of two weddings right after each other. Events have escalated now to a level of complexity I had not initially planned and I'm keen to see how far I can push this before my brain snaps under the strain. Heh. Yeah, like my AutoCAD course hasn't been doing that anyway. In just three weeks I've caught up with the guy next to me who's been there for seven weeks. On Monday (mock) and Wednesday (real thing) we were sitting exactly the same exams. Go me! I've got to redo it on Monday thanks to a really, really dumb (and actually minor, IMHO) mistake which my tutor failed me on. Fucking image frame - it doesn't even print or display! What the hell does it matter if it's not turned off on the bloody template logo when the actual drawing itself is perfect!? Grr! On the plus side, he also failed so we'll be sitting exactly the same exams again on Monday.
Anyway, yesterday I started looking at the first exam for Level 3 and my head hurts. It's definitely more difficult.
