today was excellent! this morning I went with eli from the winch to this place a couple blocks away called Title Wave, where the library sells all its castoffs for super cheap... I got Against Me!'s New Wave, Patrick Wolf's first CD, and a zine on pirate tactics for $1.50 ♥
I went to Saturday FNB to see if it was still goin' on because I'm making a flyer with the info of all the current days so we can get effing organized.. My friend/crushee was there, limping, told me his bike just broke completely IN HALF while he was riding it across a bridge, totally randomly, he fucked up his hip but has a fabulous story to tell~ and I found out this awesome intimidating girl he's always with is married and just a friend! score! /being a terrible person.
sorry everything is sooo huge, christ I miss having photoshop
sooo the other day anna and eli and I worked hard and got our fingers stained yellow for all this loveliness:
it tastes mysteriously like honey
do you realize how fucking fascinated I am by making food with friends out of something that's growing EVERYWHERE?!
so much fun <3 it's so tasty!
OKAY SO. Two shows, two nights in a row~ Last night I went to see
The Taxpayers and my friends
Teeath, it was an amaaaazing show even though I developed like 10 bruises and my nose is busted... I didn't have the money to buy a Taxpayers CD at the show so they're going to bring one to my house in exchange for homemade cookies! afterwards I got a ride home at 2 AM with my amazing friend Jai and we ate buffreetos and watched bad 90's movies and plotted craft nites and hung out with her cat.
And tonight, I heard that
Agent Ribbons, who I obsessed over last year, were having a show at this excellent cafe. I thought it was free though and I didn't know what time it started, so I showed up early with no money and just bummed around downtown and hung out with a parade of people dressed as super villains until they got close to playing.. I was all sad standing outside of Backspace, looking in, watching them setup and then the frontwoman saw me, came outside and dragged me in <3 we chatted and she is amazingly amazing, she totally put me on the guest list for an expensive show they're playing with Camera Obscura in June?! I don't think I'll be here though, that's when I'm visiting Missouri. daaamn. They were so fucking fabulous and inspiring, though, it was an amazing show and I danced with an old lady and a really nice super gay guy who bought me coffee at midnight, which is why I'm still up now.
after the show when I was waiting for my bus I was singing their song Chelsea really obnoxiously out of sheer glee, and a drunk girl said I was pretty and gave me a flower from her hair. on the way home I found 3 slices of vegan pizza that are all twice the size of my head in a dumpster Jai told me about. And breadsticks! yesss.
and this dude showed up at one of my regular bus stops. GHETTO BLASTER ZAPATISTA!
the other day in Spanish I sat next to a very sweet boy, learned how to say 'i have one butt cheek that's bigger than the other'(tiene una nalga mas grande que la otra) and found a giant golden ornate cross in the free box. i'm going to paint pentagrams on it in red puffy paint. don't judge.
I'm currently knitting socks, AND altering my clothes for summer. what! i bought it in a can, and stirred it with my fingers singin boom dadadadadada boom dadadada do it out the window.
