Today I met a girl! No, not like that.
So yeah, today we went to Columbia and I got to meet Emmie, she lives like an hour away in Jeff City, comes to Columbia a lot because she volunteers there, is an unschooler and vegan and generally awesome and adorable person and we got along SWIMMINGLY. We just tooled around downtown going to vintage shops and such. Finally, another friend nearby! I keep meeting wonderful new people, life has been really good lately. And I feel super confident too :3 Probably because I've been lurking ED communities and realizing how much happier I am being overweight than hating and killing myself, which is probably bad, but I feel awesome and accepting of myself now. Yeah.
I want to keep Emmie in my pocket. She was having a good time, honest, just nervous about the picture.(in the hippie shop she volunteers at)
THEN! We did something ALMOST EVEN COOLER, and my mom bought some helmets at the thrift store, and then went to her very first roller derby practice. Yes, she's totally joining, and it's awesome and I'm so proud and she's not half bad. Only pic she'd let me get(she's in front):

This is a "Mom made me pose, when is she going to take the picture" expression, not a dramatic one. Vintage store before derby practice, this was purty and cheap but too small.
I made these out of sculpey, they are pendants and copied from these Anthropologie christmas ornaments by Chika Mori. But I made them, so. ;(
