so this weekend proved that at least a million people in america aren't completely apathetic. i was so proud to see so many people and so proud to be a part of it. marching alongside amber through the streets of washington, i felt this exhilaration i haven't experienced in a long time. unbelievable. just unbelievable. looking around at all of these people, people from my fair city, people from across the continent and around the globe, people a lot like me, people very different from me--we were united. united in a common cause.
THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE.
yeah. so empowering. just like choice. . .is so. . .empowering. (save roe.)
i love amber's family a lot. i was instantly taken with both of her parents, her dad especially. as for charity, well, i already knew that she's fantabulous. and hanging around with amber. . .her friend kelly just rocked the casbah, and come on. this is amber. everything, from a moment of softly shared heat on the metro to hearing her shout "stand up! fight back!" beside me to bubble tea in college park was just awesome. i could never get tired of her. even the bus ride back, though incredibly uncomfortable, was bearable because she was there.

i feel like i'll never catch up on sleep. i have three late papers. the back of my neck is sunburned. it was worth it. oh, it was worth it.
