this weekend has rocked so hard, in that domestic-bliss kind of way. yesterday, Amber and i went to Tar-zhey to buy shoes. Amber found a fabulous pair of brown sneakers with pink trim, and i got a pair of skater-ish (though not too boxy) black ones with white trim. i also bought a pair of clog-style slippers and an oxford shirt with stripes in several shades of purple. i just talked about clothes for a whole paragraph. hi, i'm nick and i'm queer.
the rest of Saturday was pretty cool, too. we ate at Mr. Chicken (best. Cleveland fast food chain. ever.) and had pumpkin pie Blizzards from Dairy Queen (recommended to everyone in the world). later, we had the pleasure of joining forces with
dangerduckie21 and seeing Hedwig and the Angry Inch on campus. i haven't listened to that soundtrack in eons, and having never seen the movie before, plugging the music into the film was quite an experience. mad props to the Case people who attended for being respectful and relatively unstupid.
today, we cleaned Comet's cage (she's full-grown and soooo cute), hung the giant psychedelic painting i inherited from my mom four years ago (i am so un-handy it's almost funny), and hit the laundromat. no greater joy exists than folding my girlfriend's underwear in front of the storefront window that looks out onto east cleveland. i liked it a lot.
i think we're both in the mood to be mindless and entertain ourselves without effort tonight. it must be the shadow of the VP debate or something.
