Homework from The Fiend of Pop
popfiend gave us homework today for his drama free Thursday post. He said "Tell someone on LJ that they matter. Tell multiple people on LJ they matter. Just say it."
This really started me thinking. This month marks the one year anniversary of when I started to use LJ as more than just a place to stay in contact with family. As the months progressed I have added many new friends to my flist. I have developed some wonderful friendships both on-line and in person and I have written progressively more as time went by and found that I wanted to share more things with you, my flist.
During this past year people have come and a few have left, but the thing that makes me feel quite privileged is having those of you who choose to be a part of my world, share your life with me whether in memes, personal stories or deep thought provoking posts. I really appreciate the opportunity to get to know you. I'm also somewhat amazed and incredibly grateful by the interest, heart felt wishes, and kindness you have shown to me this past year. More times than I can count I have actually felt your warmth and caring come through your words and touch my heart.
So when I think of who on LJ matters, I have to say all of my flist. I feel very fortunate that you have chosen to be here.
