There and Back Again
I have returned, and it was an excellent trip.
The Grass Valley portion was, as always, excellent. I saw most of the people I usually mean to, plus Rainy, which is always wonderful. I liked her boy, too, though I'm terrible with names, so don't ask me what his is.
While there I inducted my little brother into the joys of not only House Gaming, but pen and paper RPGs in general. I think he might have liked it.
The North Carolina portion was amazing. I can't speak for the whole state, but the areas around the Blue Ridge Parkway are extremely beautiful; much like Grass Valley in the spring. Also, everyone I met there was very friendly and hospitable. It's definately a place I plan on visiting again.
And finally, for those of you who know Daniel, and might have suspected that his brothers had an influence on the developement of his personality: hanging out with them was like hanging out with two Daniels (which I don't consider a bad thing).
