I have arrived....

I made it to Edinburgh in one piece and didn't even knock down a single pedestrian or crash into anything so I think it can be considered an acheivement. Although I was absolutely knackered by the time I got here. I left Dublin about 8.30 yesterday morning, having been up at 6.30 to pack and that and headed to Larne. That part of the trip was grand and dandy as it was nearly all motorway. I have to say that Larne looks like a bit of a hole of a place.
From there I got the magical ferry (first time I've driven out to a ferry) over to Cairnryan, where I hit the road again. This part of the journey was more interesting as it was a windy, hill, country, costal road and due to my 'ickle corsa only having a 1l engine and being full of my crap, my acceleration was pathetic. But asides from that it was a nice pretty drive until I got to Kilmarnock/Glasgow where I hit motorway again and hit rush hour traffic. I finally got to edinburgh about 7ish and spent about half an hour trying to find my friends gaff, which I did, eventually. Go me!!
I think it quite sums me up when you look at the contents of my car - about half of the stuff was clothes the rest consisted of a computer, a couple of laptops, a monitor, a wireless router, a bag full of cables, two bags full of computer books and a few bits of junk thrown in for good measure. Oh and the usual duvet, pillows and two bags of DVDs.
I bought Batman Begins and Serenity today. And a new pair of headphones. Tomorrow I need to buy new shoes and possibly some pants
