600th post already? Wasn't I just noticing my 500th?
Today was a pretty good day! My brother and I went out for sushi lunch and it was delicious, we didn't talk that much but it was still good bonding time. Then I read some Eclipse (lol whyyy), then my dad called and we saw Food, Inc., which was sort of like a horror movie for me because they showed those livestock-abuse things like cows with broken legs or standing knee-deep in their own feces and chickens dead from overweight and slaughterhouses oh goddddd. But, it was educational and enlightening and made me feel righteously outraged about the food industry - but more accurately about capitalism. Because... it causes a lot of the problems with the food industry. Endless unlimited expansion! abstraction of food to chemical compounds and a distant unknown slaughtering process! focusing on efficiency at the expense of nutrition! taking the shit out of the land! It made me think about Marx, okay? You saw that coming.
And then dad and I went to Thai (GOOD EATING DAY) and we didn't talk much for a bit, but then I got him talking about the IBEW, the electrician's union, and how he got into it at a lucky time for someone who had no connections, and how the Oracles is a group in the Chicago local 134 that does the dirty heads-busting work (I quote, "Oracles got testicles!"), and how the Seattle local 46 is like the failingest union that ever failed (their recent contract? NO WAGE STIPULATION. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK I DON'T EVEN - DO THEY EVEN KNOW WHAT A UNION IS FOR - HOW CAN THEY - AUGH.)
Um so on a lighter note...

I am going to go research Lithuania now.
