Announcement of Project:
BROCHURE (booklet) “Welcome to Toastmasters
English Speaking Clubs in Ukraine: 2007 (collection of speeches)”.
I have a proposal for Ukrainian Toastmaster’s members to participate in this Project. This Project includes the publication of recent collection of speeches of Ukrainian Toastmasters in 2007.
It is proposed that this Brochure will include 4 Chapters:
1) Foreword of Ukrainian Area Governor. Up to 2-5 pages. Text only of this Chapter will be in Ukrainian and English. Other Chapters are exclusively in English.
2) Introduction of Clubs of Toastmasters in Ukraine. Up to 2 pages of text for the introduction of each Club.
3) Speeches of “ Toastmasters Speech Contest-2007” (which has took place on 01.April, 2007 in Kiev). Texts of presented speeches will be printed in full format. Each speech has had about 7 minutes, and it was about 6 pages in full text size.
4) Speech or impressions of Ukrainian visitor to Annual Toastmasters International Convention-2007 in Arizona, USA. Up to 5 pages of text.
5) Speeches of Clubs in 2007 (some, selected). Up to 3 authors/=3 speeches from each Club can be included here. Up to 5-6 pages of text for each author. Winners of Club’s Contest-2007 are preferred plus other Toastmasters’ speakers are welcome.
Questions and discussions. Brief answers about impressions of members of Clubs about their Toastmasters’ Clubs. Each answer should be only about 5 to 7 lines of text. List of 3-5 major questions will be supplied later by Editor (Three major questions are here: “What do you think about Toastmasters Clubs? What is interesting in TM Clubs? How can we/you/I improve our work at TM Clubs?”. Each Club could supply up to 2 pages of text.
6) List of authors and E-mails (obligatory) of published speakers will be included in this brochure. Addresses and job’s affiliation are not obligatory and will not be included.
7) Published text of this Brochure will be deposited on web-sites of Toastmasters’ Clubs as Pdf-file and will be freely available (only with obligatory agreement of all participants). Electronic Pdf-file version would also include photo of participants of this brochure.
8) Acknowledgements to persons and organisations supported this publication and Toastmasters in any available way (financial, typing, organizing, managing, translating and discussing, etc.).
It is proposed that each Ukrainian Toastmasters Club could pay “mutual publication fee” for this publication and receive back a certain number of printed brochures. Total number of booklets would be about 200-300 only. Such total charge (or “fee’) from each Club could be about 400 grivnas only.
Any "financial sponsors" from honorable Ukrainian and international Companies (many Ukrainian Toastmasters are working there !!) or private persons are really welcome!
It is expected that the group of Presidents of Toastmasters Clubs will be designated as the Editorial Committee to check the Chapters 5-6 (regarding to new speeches-2007 and new Questions/Answers).
Editor-in-Chief will unite all Chapters of this Brochure and will be responsible for preparation of the final version of the publication.
Designated Editor-of-English will check English, Grammar and stylistics.
All proposals and additions are welcome.
Texts of speeches and replies on questions are accepted by Editor-in-Chief only by E-mail or on CDs in electronic form as Word.doc files with word’s size “14”, in New Times Roman (plus a copy of printed text, if possible).
All members of are welcome to participate in this Project and send their information on the address of the Editor indicated below.
