[Rin smiles, setting up the PokeGear on the beach at Cherrygrove during late afternoon on the 12th, with Rubin the Misdreavus floating around a bit nervously near the edge of the frame. Her trainer moves in front of it, looking fairly proud of herself.]

So, Shirou and I are at Cherrygrove City now, and we ( Read more... )

*Slinking up behind you after your speech, her own Misdreavus cackling eerily behind her.*

Ara, you have one as well? They're rather fun, aren't they?

[Rin grabs her PokeGear and whirls around, then makes a face. It'd be one thing if you just walked normally, but you're... slinking. And then there's that cackling to match. Rubin hovers close to her trainer, as though trying to be protective. Rin, meanwhile, just raises an eyebrow.]

Fun? Maybe in the sense that a good chunk of the attacks go right through her at this point.

Other than that, I'm not sure what you mean by "fun".

...Well. Maybe it's cute on occasion, but I'm not really the type to do that kind of thing all the time.

There's probably a different reason you and I got the same thing, right?

What's with girls and ghost-types? Those are the ones with really scary personalities...

...Excuse me?

...Well, why didn't you say so, then?

[She glances kind of sardonically at Rubin.] I'm... not so sure that's true of this one, though. Maybe somehow, but I haven't really seen it yet.

[Shirou approaches, tucking his hard-earned money into his wallet. Excalibur is nowhere to be seen -- presumably he's in his Poké Ball.]

You're starting to get into this, aren't you?

[She shoots Shirou a highly self-assured smile, turning off the PokeGear at the same time.]

I guess you could say that.

You might know more about this world than me now, and I'm the one who watched the anime when he was a kid. I mean, I don't know too much about type advantages and similar stuff.

That's why we'll make a good team, then, isn't it?

[There's a kind of twinkle in her eye that clearly indicates she's going to be relying on him as an information source when she needs it. She's the one with the planning and strategy, after all, and he's the one with the... okay, well, they're both about evenly matched right about now, to be fair, but that Skarmory definitely has something going for it if it's made of all steel.]

It's interesting that rock is weak against water, when there are rocks that have lasted for centuries, even with water crashing against them.

I guess I might as well get used to the fact that things work differently here.
