So, there's this dude online who apparently does work similar to what I do. He lists, as one of his credentials, the fact that he made it to semi-finals for a screenwriting contest. Then describes, in detail, the reward for winning the contest -- which he did not win.
Is it me, or is that weird? Should I be listing every competition I nearly-won-but-didn't as a credential? When I was 20, I made semi-finals in the same competition he references. I never considered it all that worthy of bragging rights. More like a nice rejection letter from an editor. Encouragement to keep working.
