Blessings upon obadiah . Thanks to him I now have a functional phone (his old Motorola). This doesn't solve the missing iPhone problem, but does make things in the meantime much better.
In other news, I think my voice is sexier when it's hoarse. Which it is right now (thanks to the WFC bug).
