I'm not that familiar with rapper Kanye West. The only real image I have of him is from South Park's "Fishsticks" episode, which was apparently right on the money.
He's writing a book. I would not have a problem with this, except that he proudly declares himself a non-reader who doesn't respect books. "I like to get information from doing stuff like actually talking to people and living real life," he says. What kind of book did his lifestyle of hating books and living a real life produce?
------------
His book is 52 pages - some blank, others with just a few words - and offers his optimistic philosophy on life. One two-page section reads, “Life is 5% what happens and 95% how you react!” Another page reads “I hate the word hate!”
West, a college dropout, said being a non-reader was helpful when he wrote his book because it gave him “a childlike purity.”
-----------
I have other words I'd use in place of "child-like purity," but then again I'm a reader.
In other news, I've started negotiations to record "H-Town Superfly," my new "non-rapper" rap album. I'll be kicking it, in the style of the older school, with some fresh new tracks, dope beats, and whatever random crap pops into my head when I'm in the recording booth. See you at the Grammies, bitches!
