readdapting
My wombat called me yesterday ^_^
gah...well at least all the gifts i brought back went over well. save for those given to my little cosins, but they are spoiled so what else to expect.
I've been sick (perhaps due to my 13 or so hour lay over in the LA air port?) and i cant sleep at the right times... two nights in a row i have done early morning to early afternoon sleeps but i do feel better about being being back now that i'm in Tampa. It is my home-town. its where i finished high school and started living on my own.
Driving is easy and the ways to my old haunts are engraved in my memmory so getting around has been no problem. its the little changes that get me. seeing publix instead of Woolies or hersheys bars instead of cadbury everything...every one here has Lauryn's accent and there are phrases I'm alone in using and understanding.
But its nice to be back on campus, the gym is open and once i can breath without sniffeling i want to get back into excerscising. i lost a little weight in Darwin but its just made me realize how much better shape i could be in.
could i pinch someone's orgainic book so i can start familiarizing myself with the subject? though i should get back into japanese, i might as well do both semesters! will all my nihongo speaking friends i'm sure i can stay at first semester level till the spring ^_^
i need to get a job. a semester of not working has my savings down to about $ 800 and we should all guess that i'd like to do some traveling next summer ^.-* i think about Busch Gardens but i might go see if anywhere in the mall is hireing... or a campus job. i'll find something.
I'll try to talk about Jason less... really i will. see! not explaining how i miss him already and wish i was there to keep him motivated through his last semester. Or how funny he is and that he called to tell me about a radio broadcast on religion in moder politics and how great it is to talk to someone about such things but broken with bad puns and in-jokes...
